AYSO ANNOUNCES ONLINE TRAINING Over the past few years, the AYSO membership has expressed an interest in expanding the delivery methods of AYSO training and certification. AYSO has answered that call and contracted with Justinen Creative Group (JCG), a company that specializes in the development of on-line education. AYSO and JCG are working together to make a variety of AYSO training and certification courses available on-line. AYSO is proud to announce the rollout of its first three on-line courses that are now available for training and certification. The Safe Haven Coach, Safe Haven Referee and Board & Staff Introductory Certification (BASIC) courses are available to the AYSO membership via the internet at www.aysotraining.org. In order to access the on-line courses and receive training and certification credit, you must:
Upon completion (some on-line modules require passing a test), you will have the option to print a certificate of successful completion. We suggest that you take advantage of this option and keep the certificate of completion for your files. Volunteer records in eAYSO will be updated to reflect completed training/certification on a weekly basis. If you require assistance with accessing or completing the on-line courses please contact Steve Close at the AYSO National Support & Training Center (M-F 8am-5pm PT). Steve Close can be reached at (800) USA-AYSO ext. 5473 or by e-mail at steveclose@ayso.org. We hope that you find the on-line training modules a valuable resource that diversifies the delivery of AYSO training and certification. Please spread this exciting news to the hard-working volunteers in your region, area or section!
